1983, 28 years ago! I was thinking it just introduced in about 2000.

Actually, the all gold submariner 1680/8 came with solid end links on the gold Oyster during the 70's. During the 60's there where a very rare SEL bracelet for the Daytona, and also for the Day-Date (white gold Oyster bracelet), but those are r-a-r-e. I've only seen a few on the web, and none in real life.

The SD has been mentioned, but the YM came with SEL also, in 1994 if I remember correctly.

So, solid end links is nothing new, but for the majority of the sports models it was not until 1999.

The DJ did not get SELs until the new style models: 1162XX.

Best,

A

For the TT Subs it was late A series, mid 2000. I got the first one that the AD had come in.
