Snow day in San Antonio.

I can't make this stuff up. This is what gets the children in San Antonio a day off from school.

Thanks. I liked it too...designed it myself. When I move from here at the end of the school year I will miss this house/pool.

They let out early and scheduled today off here. No snow; just a little sleet. Lots of accidents this morning, though.

Last night there were VERY icy roads. It just took me almost 2 hours to pick up my son from work...5 miles away. I knew how to drive on the roads ....in low gear carefully with all wheel drive....however the IDIOTS here in San Antonio were blocking the roads spinning their wheels at 9,000 rpm's! Once I could get around the stupidity I was fine and could drive and made it home without a problem.

I couldn't believe it though. These people cannot drive in rain to begin with.... SNOW???? Fuhgettaboutit!

Makes me feel better about remembering how to drive in the stuff for when I move back up north to REAL WEATHER at the end of the school year.

My daughter just woke up and is quite excited. She is currently having a grand time making the most pitiful snow angel I have ever seen in the 1/8" dusting of snow on the driveway.

I won't burst her bubble though about how comical it is. She won't know what do to with herself next winter in Pennsylvania. It will be entirely too cute.

I know exactly what you're saying Marie. Was in SA 2004-2009 and they always freak out in mild winter weather. They also drive stupid when it rains!

BarkMaster, what area of tx are you? Marie, at least in the PNW it snows here with some regularity and lots people should not be behind the wheel. Of course in se tx it may snow a trace once every 6 or so years lol. At least Pitt and GB will feel right at home if this weather keeps up down there

Wow Marie, it's certainly not what we're used to is it?!

We've had a LOT of ice here in Houston and most of the city is shut down because of it. I know better than to venture out today....just working from home.

Snow would have been better!

Stay warm!

It looks pretty on the top, but the problem was the layer of ice underneath the snow. Last night and this morning was treacherous at best.

Most everything is melted now that we are finally above freezing for the first time in 3 days.
