Can someone confirm this about the PAM 48.
Looking to get a PAM in 40 mm perhaps.. the 44 is way too big for me.
I know.. this does not go with the history but I love the cleanlines.. No dealers around me. So question, how thick is this watch 15.5? If so.. that is pretty thick imo, any problems under sleeves?? Thanks |

under tight shirt sleeves some can find it a problem but most other things no problems at all.
ok I got the hint that I know you where not wanting to get into the 44mm is the way to go thing but hey I have to try just keep in mind that Pams are said to be big not just because of the 44mm but the height too plays a big part,if you are fine with the height then maybe the 44mm will not be the problem you think it is,all I ask is you try them both on ps oh and manual winds can be slightly thiner than the autos. |

For the shirts I wear, PAM's are tough to fit under, 40mm or 44mm. By the way, I once owned a 48 and it only took me a matter of weeks to matriculate. Good luck!

How small are your wrists? Even though there isn't an AD nearby, I would travel to one to try a 40mm to make sure. My 40mm Daytona is a perfect size for a Rolex but I found my 40mm Panerai to be too small for a Panerai.

For wrists under 7-inches (unless yours are around 6.9+), I always recommend smaller than 44mm.

as an owner of a 40mm ( the 215) I would recommend trying it on first. They are fairly thick. The 40mm is larger looking than most any other 40mm that you will see, and except for all the flak you get on Panerai sites about it being "just right for my wife" and other similar comments I think you will love it.

The salesman at the boutique showed me his shirt....He always buys double-button sleeves and leaves the last one unbuttoned to let his 1950 model fit under the sleeves.
Not a perfect solution, but, a solution. Or, get tailored shirts with a larger cuff on the left. Or, just let it be exposed.... |
