Seems odd that the number stamped on the side is different from the one stamped inside the SEL.

It should look like this for the 16610 Sub Date with SEL's.
The clasp and end links should match. Moe examples below for a different model bracelet. |

I've never seen an SEL stamped "AD 93288". I believe I am reading that correctly, but I have no idea what head that end link goes with. Nothing wrong with the bracelet though.

Very interesting..... i have a 93250 bracelet without any other number.
But if i open the "diving suit" extension i found a quite big "S" what is it? Please don't tell me is Service because the watch was bougt brand new with plastics, box papers, guarantee and so, at an AD. sorry for bad picture:

Up till around 2003, the SS Sub Date bracelet 93250 did sport "93250" on the last link before either endlink, but the number inside the SEL should match the number on the bracelet links... very odd!
@ Laura: the "S" on the diver's link signifies "Small" (as compared to the "L" [Large]marked diver's link that comes as a spare part in the toolkit for the Sea-Dweller 16600) |

What does the bracelet "date code" say inside the clasp (see www.oysterworld.de)?

When SEL bracelets first came out, the braceletes still had the 93250 part number stamped on the links..
The SEL had the part number of the new SEL stamped on the inside.. I have some early SELs with 701 etc., stamped on the ends.. Later on they dropped the separate stamping all together and only carry the main part number in the endlink.. The latest bracelets don't even stamp the clasp.. We only need some more early 93250 bracelet owners to confirm what their end-link stamp is..

The 93288 is a part number for those particular Sub end-links You say that the clasp date code is CL1 - or January 2004. I would say that the endlinks and the bracelet and clasp match..

Found a thread on another forum about a 2003 SS Sub Date... further down in the thread, there's a pic of the SEL, sporting a different number: 801
