I know most Paneristi prefer the clean and simple dials. However, I have always been drawn to chornos. I own a daytona and most of my watches are chronographs. I also noticed that I dont see that many 250 or other PAM chronos on this forum. What do people think of them? If you had a choice between a 88 or 250, which would you prefer?? I am curious to see what people think? Thanks for your inputs....

I had the original PAM 196 Daylight chronowith the poliched bezel and cooler dial..the 250 just didn't "smile" at me, so I picked 88 on your poll.

Marc, i was considering picking up a daylight, but the fact that its similar to my daytona made me pause. I think 88 is a stunning watch w functional GMT hand... 88 and 250 are both beautiful watches...

Tom- Go forthe 88- I had and loved that watch- the big hands and silver/grey seconds dial is KILLER. Can't go wrong with an 88- or say, a 312 Like I just picked up

Well,...I suppose it depends on which hits the right buttons.

I have both. The 88 was my first Panerai and as such has always had a special place for me. I know some feel both references are "busy" by Panerai standards and I suppose if one takes into account Pam DNA they're right.

Never the less I find both have a place in my collection.

Personally the silver sub seconds dial on the 88, for me, gives the watch an elegant look. That it has a dual timezone function is, of course, something I covet. I'm a bit against the grain I suppose with most Panerasti in that I like a minute track. Makes setting the watch exactly easy.

The 250, for me, is an ideal chronograph. Easy to read and having enough luminosity to make it worthwhile, it again has the minute track that makes setting easy.

I do think because of the design of the pushers the 250 wears a tad bigger, but nothing over powering.

Both are extremely comfortable to wear and accuracy for both is supurb.

Tough choice, but I said 88 for purely personal reasons (that GMT thing

)

I can't speak for all, but the chrono on mine works supurbly. All three hands snap back to zero with very smooth movement.

The 250 is one of the cleanest looking chronographs available. I don't know how anyone can design a simpler chrono dial that is as functional.
