How fast will the Pam 372 Move and How hard to get

If you were to have a crystal ball how fast do you think the 372 are going to move off the dealers cases. I see they are saying 3000 so it will be 1050 more the Pam 127 and they went darn quick and the values all went through the roof. Only reason I ask is if I dont jump at one right away do you think the prices will jump to crazy numbers like the 127/217?

well, we ARE talking about "just" a SS watch with two hands and plexiglass that is 47 mm and retails for $10K, but, my guess is that it'll be sold out pretty quickly.....however, with 3,000 units, i think you'll be able to find one if you really want it (it just might take some time).

i think it'd be a hot property in the fist couple of years, until the "hype" & "interest" goes down abit....
not sure how much premium it'd get if it will be a regular 3000-pieces per year production.... maybe for the first couple of years me thinks...

i'm not sure, but, i thought the 372 was a limited edition, with 3,000 to be made over two years?

When I spoke to a dealer who will get a few of these he told me they were all bespoken in the first week after the watch fair

Limited or not ?

I don't know

Some say 3000 pieces in only one run which will take 3 years
Others say it will indeed take quite some time to get the first 3000 but another run might follow

I heard it's not limited. But I can't be certain, but it's a watch to want for sure.

the key lies with the release of the PAM 372 lies with the production of the new P3000 calibre movement which the PAM 372 will be the first model to be using this new movement. the 2 barrel 3 day power reserve is a big bonus over the current OP I/II calibre movements.

I wonder why you need 2 barrels for a 3 days reserve.. Anyhow, I really cant wait to see one for myself in person. Will it have the patina lume or the usual lume?

No idea in the official releasing date for the UK Market...
Tried it on the other evening and liked the size, it sat surprisingly well on my wrist at 47mm (even though it is sitting weirdly on the below wrist pic)

The vintage look dial is so delicious. I'm loving it 2 hands style too

Needless to say I should have my hands on one of them when they are released.... Unless my AD can find me a 382 instead

Esm, the 372 sits on top of the bronzo on my wish list, let me know if your AD can spot an extra? Hehehe..

The frenzy for the 372 is diffenently there. Being an unlimited watch, I imagine you might be able to get one by the holidays. Nice pic! The clarity of dial and font is impressive. Everyone in the room will be able to read the time.

At 3000 units, it would seem that they could be had if you wanted one. The 312 was a huge hit upon it's release and they only made 2000 for the first run. I had no problem getting one either.

I guess we'll see. I wasn't taking any chances and called my AD right away. I have even reminded him several times since then that he calls me first when it arrives. :)

Bryan!
My feel exactly! I got the 312 at release from an AD once it hit. I think it can be had if you put your name on your AD's list.

Hope all is well bud!

It's a great looking watch, but at 47mm it's pushing the limit on my 6 inch wrist!!!!

Id have to agree with you on that Barry. The 47mm rads are already pushing it. The extra crown guard will make it seem larger..

Spoke to my dealer yesterday and he will be getting 7 allocated from the production run - I don't think it's going to be too difficult to get hold of to be honest.

Is it a boutique or just a regular AD?

I would say they have all been spoken for.
My AD has full payment for the ones they are scheduled to get and a waiting list for the hope of any over & above their allotment.

John,

Do AD's really know for sure that they get a certain number of them though? I was under the impression that Panerai doesn't say a thing until they're arriving...

That's what I was thinking, Phil. My AD said he doesn't know until they're literally coming in the door...
