116610LV Green Sub.
I found a 2011 Green Sub. from a Florida AD for MSRP. After buying I looked at the online gray dealers and I see that these watches are being marked up. Most were significantly higher. Is this normal for a modern watch?
Thanks for any answers, I'm obviously a newbie and i'm buying my 1st. I'll take pics and post soon. He also has a nice leftover black explorer, $4500 |

Well, the US just did go through an 8% increase.....
Most, if not all models have seen an increase because of this...Even in the grey market!

A few online shops have it marked up more than $800 above MSRP. Sorry for the confusion
Are Green watches collectable or something? Someday I'll have this figured out. |

I just saw one on here for less than 8K, doesn't it figure:-) I told the dealer I'd be there tomorrow and I won't stiff him. That's how I roll.

It's 7:30am in florida. I can't wait till the place opens, that pic from rolliekid is too much for me to handle:-)
Thanks for all the comments and answers to the newby questions. I will post pics, but not until friday. The AD is sending it to my home in Massachsetts which saves 6.00% sales tax. I need to say, this is a great forum. I'm a memeber of many, including porsche, firearms and atv's, auto racing, sailboat racing, SW florida fishing and a few more. I've never had such a nice welcome as i did here. Thanks...... I look forward to doing future bussiness on here from the many trusted sellers and to pipe up now and then to show pics.. See you soon, Rob |

Welcome to the club. Those prices that some of these places are charging are crazy! I feel very lucky with the price I paid by buying from DavidSW!

Thanks all!!!!
I'll have it on Friday, if I can hold my breath for that long. This is the 1st Rolex I've purchased for myself. I couldn't be more pleased, i'm giddy.. I haven't felt like this since the purchase of my 1st Porsche 911. My dad left me a perfect 5512 from 1959-60, this I wear sometimes. But now, I have a Kermit watch as a daily wearer.. Now I'm a tree hugging greenie>>> Take care all, Rob |

Oh My!! This is thing is great. Waited all day yesterday for ups to show. Normally they're at my house around noon. Not today, he must have known i was waiting. 6:00pm he shows up.
Today I took a couple of bad pics, but my camera is on the fritz.. [IMG][/IMG] Pay no attention to the date stamp, I hadn't even set the watch yet On The arm On the car Anyway the color of this dial seems to change from one lighting situation to another. Sometimes it even looks black. I love it.. The weight and size are excellent for me. The old 5512, someone on here told me that it is one of the oldest he seen with the "Ft before Meter" dial. My dad wore this every day for 35 years. Doesn't look it though.. Thanks to everyone for the kind comments.. More pics to come, once I get my camera back:-) |

Is the LV going to maintain its allure? Worries me when shelling out $8,000 on my first major watch. Black just seems so much safer (albeit boring)... :(
Is there a worst case with the LV's resale value -- what would the worst case be? |

Don't think you need to worry about resale, unless they flood the markets with it. I've had mine for around 4 months and have yet to see one in this town. And there is a ton of ROLEX's walking around here.
JUST DO IT !!!! Get this one while your at it too..Go all in dude !!!!
