Mondaine anyone?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mondaine-Ret...802319&sr=8-22

I saw this watch in an AD window today and thought it looked very impressive. unfortunatley I didn't have time to go in and check it out but was wondering if anyone here had any experience of the brand? I know they are just quartz watches but the styling and heritage are interesting.

Thanks.

They got plenty of history behind them with the Swiss Railways which are known for being pretty accurate with their timekeeping, they have a distinctive look and I've never heard a bad word said against them. Prices are on the sane and rational side too. What's not to like?

Nice look, but the only review said it leaked in one inch of "wash up" water.

I wouldn't be worried by one bad rating on amazon!

They have automatics as well.
My wife and I took our Honeymoon in Switzerland last Sept.
My wife purchased a Mondaine for herself and one for her brother.
She wears it quite often in rotation with her Rolex and multiple Michele
watches.
If you go to Switzerland you see them in all of the train stations.
I like their desk clock, I am going to buy a Mondaine next time I am over
there to remember our honeymoon (I bought the MIH watch while there!).
