Problem with Pam50

My Pam50 is broken I have not been giving it much wrist time lately. I wore it the other day and after about 2 hours on a full wind the second hand stopped on 7. I thought that was strange so I took it off, set it, winded back up, and after a couple of hours it did the exact same thing. Last night I wound it, put it in the winder (never been in the winder before) and when I woke this morning it had stopped on the 7 second hand again. What does this sound like? Does it sound serious. No one down here works on Panerai and I really don't want to put it in the mail. I am going to Vegas next week so I could take it there to have fixed.

Sorry to hear about your problem, but it is definately going to have to be serviced by someone who knows how to work on watches. You should be able to find a competant watchmaker locally to look at it. It is a Panerai, but the base movement is a Valjoux Caliber 7750. Very common. Make sure you mention that to them.

Sounds like you need to get it serviced. there may be a gear or whatnot that makes it go stuck.

It is 4 years old. I don't really want to ship it but I may send it to the service center in New York. I am going to take it to vegas with me just in case I find a watchmaker there.

I can't believe Mobile, AL doesn't have a compitent watch repair person.

I just googled and found a place near Mobile that said
"Watch Repair - Our professionally trained graduates of Bishop State College can repair or restore all name brands including Rolex."

If they can work on a Rolex, I'm pretty sure they'll be able to look at a Val 7750.

Disappointing. There is a service center in Ft. Worth Texas as well...might be best to send to Panerai.

LMAO, if you were in Mobile and knew of Bishop State College you would be rolling on the floor laughing right now. They have had teachers enrolled in their own class as students. All kind of crazy shenanigans!
