My 5107 came in
Yesterday, to my surprise my Patek 5107 I bought on friday came in. I was not expecting it until later this week. It came with both brown and black Patek straps. I am going to have my jeweler put the brown one on the watch.
Here are a couple of images, sorry for the quality, my macro in my camera is not the best and I have not figured out the best lighting and angles for better shots. |

Huge congrats Mort!
That's a great looking Patek. You must be very happy with that I like the display back and the way the crown guards are shaped into the contour of the case. |

Just remember Mort.
If you don't like it I could stretch to $500 to take it off your hands.

Thanks everyone. You people are how I convinced my wife to let me but the watch in the first place. I told her how could I not purchase such a timepiece that all my friends on the Rolex Forum said I needed and was a good choice.
Of course I am not allowed to buy another watch until the next decade. So much for the black monster I had my eye on. |

That is the Patek I would get, except I would prefer the white gold. Beautiful watch though. I hate to ask about cost but I am curious to know, so I know ow much I will have to save up for. I saw online for like 17k. If you want to shoot me a private message that would be great.

Congrats Mort!
I am not a huge fan of the crown guards on a dress watch, but I do like that model. I was in the PP factory on Friday, and happened to take this shot of a girl on the production line doing some final finishing to the rotors - same style as in your watch. Thought you might be interested. You can see she has an entire tray of the rotors in front of her, and is taking off any remaining burrs in this operation. |
