How long before you bought another?
We know the bug exists. Did you catch it? And, how long was it before it set in, became unbearable and you had to get the next one?

I had my GMT for nearly 2 years before I got my Tudor chrono.
Overall I'm pretty satisfied with the combinations of useable functions in this set so I don't see myself feeling the need to purchase another.

Never caught it.
Kept the one I had a couple of years and just sold it. I'm bored with Rolexes. Time to move on. |

I caught the bug back in the mid '70s. I got my first an Air King precision and was quite content for a while. After several years a Sub date caught my eye and I flipped the Air King. A few more years past by and I flipped the Sub for a GMT. I really like the GMT but it was not a sub and a few years later I bought a TT Sub blue. I owned two Rolexes at the same time, what was I thinking. I sold the GMT. Then I strayed and an Omega Seamaster pro ended up on my wrist and I sold the TTSub. After a few years the Omega was giving me a problem and I took it in for service. I was looking at the Rolexes thinking the new mega watches really look strange and out of proportion. And there it was a lonely old style TTSub sitting there in need of a home and me without a watch. Then it happened I saw a killer deal on a Sub C and bought. When I was picking up the Sub I saw a TT GMTIIC and bought that. Then a TTSub blue, a Hulk, And last a GMTIIC, six Rolexes from April 2010 to June 2011.

Not long, 3 x Rolex & 1 x Tudor since Sept 2009 to present. Aiming at one every 12-18 months. That hasn't worked yet...

About a year between my IWC and rolex. Always thinking about my next move, but I have some financial obligations to attend to first.

My wife bought me my first Rolex (Explorer II) in 1989 for our 20th wedding anniversary. I wore it everyday until April 2011 when it quit working. Rather than invest in expensive repairs, I treaded it in on a new Sub C. Two months later (June) I bought my new 2 tone, bluey Sub from TRF member Theken (Mark). I love em both.

Was a year for me. First was a preowned TT sub, then my new SS GMTIIC. It's going to be a long time now if ever. Not that I don't desire more, just can't afford it. As a salaried employee in an unstable economy, with the threat of higher insurance costs, higher co pays, reduced future retirement benefits, Rolex will have to be last on that list as it was hard enough to mentally and financially justify the first purchase let alone the second.
