So this afternoon, was in the market to get a brand new time peace! Went to my local ad dealer and offered a cash sell if they cough up a 10percent discount ( and toss in some straps). They made the call in and what was the response???????

We can not offer you a discount! But on the up side, we offer a gift card with up to 6 percent of today's purchase to use on your next purchase. Wtf

FWIW, no AD i've come across in paris will give a discount, either, but, non-boutiques are more flexible in terms of straps (was quoted two straps for the purchase of a 164...i eventually went with DavidSW).

I shop at CD Peacock - which store did you visit?

With Panerai - I can get 10% off most models w/ free straps. Probably not the more rare ones though, but I've gotten a few fringe benefits here and there (including 2 orbita winders and about 6 straps so far).

Thats what my AD told me in regards to a discount about 4 months ago, however I just got a %10 discount from them a couple of weeks ago.

On the flip side I only got a free strap from CD Peacock about 4 months ago. However I figured this was becausde I bought the Pam 000 and it wasn't that much compared to other watches.
