Datejust or daydate
Which is your favourite and why? Also which model, 36mm or 41mm?
I'd say, steel dj for everyday, 2tone dj for something more dressy and different, and super president dd for the ultimate dress watch. |

Yeah I mean the DJ and the DD are regarded as being on two different levels. I guess in both stigma, and price.
I love the DJ 36mm in SS. I like the two-tone as well but there are too many watches out there from other manufacturers that I would want before shelling out for two DJ'S with such slight variances. My personal opinion is that the DJ is a perfect all-rounder (especially the 116200 which you have listed as your watch - the exact one i'd go for too). |

It is hard to beat the Datejust for its versatility and classic good looks.

I have tried a couple versions of the DJ and DD in 36mm. I'm 6' 3" and have a 7 1/4 wrist size and just find 36mm too small. I curently have a TT DJII and at some point I would love to own a YG DDII. Maybe someday I will.

I'll take the DJ in 36mm, please. Classic good looks, classic size, lots of dial options and several strap options. Good price. I need to be reminded of the date, but never the day of the week.

same feelings here

IMO, a DD is basically a gold DJ. The real difference is a heavy, very expensive gold bracelet. I feel that adding lots of value to my bracelet doesn't make the watch any better. Knowing the day of the week isn't useful, for me, so I bought a 60's era gold DJ. |

DJ or DD? DJ, steel, of course! It's basically the exact same watch.

I am not really a dress watch kind of person, but between those two I would say a DateJust Turn-O-Graph. A TOG is sporty enough for me.
And I also think less is more concerning dress watches, so unless you have bigger wrists, than 36mm would be the way to go. My 0.02 cents. |
