Real or not? HELP PLEASE!
so about 5 years ago, my X gave me a watch she found in a draw of her perents house.
she was told it was a fake. but the watch had been given to her by a school friend who thought it was a fake, previosly owned by a demolitions contractor who ether found it or was gifted it. now its mine, and after a while of asuming it was a fake, i wore it to building sites, nights out, and it got bashed about a bit. then one day passing a watch shop selling rolex's i asked them to see if they thought it was a fake. they said it was ether a good fake or a real one. i started to think. and now im still not sure.. when i first had it, it was in much better condition, and had a green sticker on the back with some number on it. i lost that swimming lol. asuming it was a fake i figured i would wear it to death. iv heard mention of a "Rare white dialed rolex explorer" and would be horrified if this one turned out to be such a watch and iv treated it so bad. so what do you guys think? fake or not :/ |

Welcome to TRF.
The only sure way to confirm its authenticity is to take the case back off and look at the movement. I would take it to a watchmaker that has the tools to do that safely and properly.

oh and some more details.
"Swiss T<25" 4 digit number on the Breclet closest to the case : 5678 conection to the case from braclet code: 045 inside of the clasp says: "Registered Swissmade" and next to the crown icon "D12" under that " STEELINOX 62523H.16" i am thinking its a fake tho because it dosent have any marking from what i can see on the case behind the Braclet atatchment. the second hand ticks with a smoothness. not a ticking more a skipping. the luminesence on the hands works well but dosent seem to work at all on the numbers and hour markers. |

As old as it is, wouldn't it have lug holes?

One would think lug holes would be in order for this watch.
