Said good bye to my sub this morning.

Sniff sniff.

I dropped it off for service. It's going to be a long two weeks. Worst part is that it's my only Rolex. The 10 year old Seiko will suffice but it just isn't the same.

Don't worry. After 2 weeks you will love it even more! Absence makes the heart grow fonder!

Yep, sounds like it's time to get another Rolex for times like this.

No matter what, you will always miss the one that is not there no matter what you do. The second one just kind of eases the pain a bit.

What no loaner? Bah! I wonder if you could lease/rent another Rolex just for those two weeks.

2 weeks is short. I've waited 2 months due to parts. You'll only notice how long it's taking if you wear another watch and keep checking it.

That's why you need another Rolex. There are separate arguments for why one would need five, and they are all compelling!

A) Two week is fast for service (obviously you are not using RSC)

B) The only solution to feeling bummed about it is to have another watch that you like and feel happy/proud to wear (doesn't have to be Rolex).
