If i were to manage to get my hands on a green ceramic bezel would i be able to change it by placing a knife in-between the bezel and the watch and twist it to make the bezel pop off?

I don't think so, I have heard these new ceramic bezel are much harder to take off then the old aluminum.

Yes, but you'd probably be sending it in to an RSC for repairs soon thereafter. Please, don't try this at home!

Absolutely not. Rolex uses a specific tool to remove the new ceramic bezels.... It might come off bit definitely not properly.

No. There have been other threads which explain that special tools are needed for the ceramic. I think one such tool presses the insert into place. Remember, ceramic is not flexible. Prying up a corner may crack it.

But seriously is it advisable to even pry off the old 16610 bezel with a knife? Would it cause the bezel to warp if pried too hard? I've not tried removing a bezel with a knife but I would rather go with a special tool.

Where in Europe are you? I know of someone in Holland who has that specific tool...

NO!!!! The new ceramic submariner can be removed with standard bezel remover but it CAN NOT be put back on.. Rolex has a special machine to put it back on and if you try like many people I know have, the ceramic will chatter. I really wanted a green ceramic sub with black dial so I had to purchase both watches and switch out the dial.

If you put masking tape on the lugs, the bezel would be OK. I wouldn't try using a knife to remove the insert
