My first Rolex: a crown for, well, a few achievements
As I posted in the New Members section, I was a long-time lurker until just recently. Enjoyed learning as much as I could about Rolexes, but wasn't in a position to join in on the fun... until now. Thanks to DavidSW I'm the owner of a BNIB random-serial stainless-steel GMT-IIc. It's a gift to myself for a few different things...
Last summer I exited the Army after 6 years of service, going Airborne and supporting special operations. I traveled around the world through every time zone, and spent time in over a half-dozen countries. It had it's ups and downs, but overall I am proud of joining and would do it again in a heartbeat. The GMT will be a reminder of my service and travels, and a way to congratulate myself on getting through it safely. Before I went into the service I had done some college and was determined to finish my degree once I was back to the civilian world. So last year I applied to a few schools and was accepted to Columbia University, where I am now over half-way through my bachelors. Oh yeah, and on top of all that, I turn 30 this December.

Congratulations on your achievements! (after all, it is only a watch)
Gmt2c is the best ceramic watch ever produced! As i am french, i have to say... Keep peace on earth, not war, but i am sure that the huge majority of american people are aware of that. Take care of you!
