16610 Bezel has gone FLAT black
Hi guys. Been a browser for a while now, as I just like watches, what can I say.
I replaced a stolen 16610 about Sept of last year and it's been pretty uneventful since the purchase. However, this week whilst in the shower when drying off I noticed that the regularly shiny black bezel/silver numbers are now all flat black. It seems as though the lacquer? finish has fallen off. It's not a fake... I made the purchase at Ben Bridge in Spokane, WA and of course all the paper work etc... Just wondering if anyone else has seen this before and if anyone knows if Rolex will cover something like this under the 2 year plan. I had my other watch for 17 years before the theft and it looked as if it had just come out of the box. I'm not rough on it and have never exposed it to anything harsh... Any ideas ? |

Bezel fade is something that does occur, but it takes a few years. Certainly not on a new watch that has not been exposed to anything harsh.
I would think Rolex would certainly cover something like that under warranty. |

Just an update for those who may care
I brought the watch into the local dealer and he's going to forward it to Rolex in Toronto for a repair. He stated he's never seen a bezel go flat in such a short period of time.
Here's a pic for your perusal Keep in mind it's under a year old |
