I have been told to stop surfing the net and get back to work......

Apparantly the ROLEX pics on this forum are the give away!

I can pretty much do whatever I want at work, I manage my own time and output, so I need to have a lot of self-discipline when it comes to surfing. It's hard but the rewards are great!

Most companys I've worked for its frowned upon\ in IT policy so your asking for a warning imho if your boss decides he's had enough of you on it. I know someone who got pulled into a meeting room by their line manager a few years ago cos too much time on ebay.

I check my mail & have a 5 min look at the bbc news at lunch times & limit my surfing to home in mornings\ night. I know a lot of guys who spend their whole lunch hour on the net but I'd rather go out for a walk in the fresh air

This place is a nice diversion during the day. I think I am much fresher after spending a few minutes relaxing and reading the forum. Sometimes you have to step away from what you are working on to re-energize yourself.
