How does the case thickness compare? I like the features of the new one , and think it may be time to trade, even though my Fat Boy has run flawlessly for 22 years.

Boy Vic, I'd love to do a comparison shot for you, but I can't yet.

I'm going to GUESS and say they're close. The 16760 to me feels more SD like due to the thicker case and caseback. From the new TT GMTs I've tried the caseback seemed flatter and set very well.

Here is a comparison between the thinner case GMTs and the 16760,

I agree the new GMT has a lot of great features, but the 16760 is a bit of a rare bird. Only made for about five years it's a GMT that some collectors feel has some upside potential.

Is the 16760 called the "Fat Lady" or "Fat Boy?" Or, does it depend on the sex? Is it like sexing chicks?

Ronnie,

The 16760 was given the nickname "fatlady" by a German collector because of the thicker case.

Good pictures Mike but don't think the less than 2mm is going to make much difference fat or thin.

Indeed, the "Fat Boy" is a nice bike, actually I prefer the "Softtail". You are right when I first posted I did use the wrong term. Blame it on too many Harley conversations with my son.
