Sending in for Service
My wife Rolex starting vibrating. It the rotor. Something must have came loose.
Watch is still under 2 years warranty. We no longer live near the AD we purchased the watch from. Should I contact Rolex NY myself and send in the watch. Or take it the local AD (ben bridge) and have them send it for me. I know I'm not ever going to buy anything from the ben bridge. But kind of make me feel bad having them do the work. Let me know what you guys think. |

I'd send it directly to Dallas. Closer timezone to LA if you need to speak with a warm body.
1. Prepare a letter explaining the problem or the service desired – include the return shipping address and contact information. 2. Photocopy the warranty paperwork included with the watch (important to show the date of purchase and name on the warranty if you intend to get any service work covered free of charge under the warranty). 3. Carefully pack the watch in an ordinary cardboard box. 4. Mail the watch via USPS (I use Priority Mail). 5. Properly declare/insure value of watch. 6. The shipping box must be sealed via tamper-proof brown paper tape. |

All good advice above except #4 should be USPS Registered Mail.

You should be able to walk into any AD such as Ben Bridge and ask for their assistance.

Registered mail is good.
Dallas RSC is reportedly good. Too many horror stories about NYC RSC. Don't rule out qualified indy shop for service and price.

I would rather let the AD sent it for you.If it get lost or stolen. It would be easier for the AD to recover the money then yourself.

First of all, registered mail doesn't get lost and secondly the AD will add on another $200 +-.

I find it interesting how instead of calling Rolex first, these questions get posted here. The power of the forum I guess!!!
Call Dallas RSC and they'll tell you what to do. 214-871-0500. http://www.rolex.com/en#/store-locat...s/unitedstates |
