mark sirianni
Hey Guys,
I was wondering if anyone has done bussiness with Mark Sirianni from watchdoctor.biz I tried to do a search but couldn't find much. I know of Bob Ridely but for what i'm looking to get serviced hes a little over priced IMHO. Thanks for any information you can share with me. |

All Rolex watches are completely disassembled, ultrasonically cleaned, reassembled properly oiled and timed. Cases are polished; crystals and bands are buffed. Case tube and back gaskets are replaced. I supply a new mainspring with every Rolex overhaul. I pressure test each Rolex repair to check for water resistence. I use genuine Rolex parts where needed.
Cost is $175 (includes the return shipping by Express Mail). I have not used him, but if you search the general and vintage section you should find some that have. Are you servicing a Rolex? If so I would use caution. Just add up by asking what Rolex charges watchmakers for a mainspring and case tube for the type watch to be serviced. Then add in return shipping.. How much does that leave for his profit ($175-xx)? . I use genuine Rolex parts where needed. Then again, maybe his opinion is that genuine Rolex tube and mainspring are not required and he uses aftermarket parts for those?? Call him and ask to make sure. If it is not a valuable watch then maybe this is acceptable, but you need to be aware of what you are getting. Hope this helps |

Thanks! Yeah I am definitely going to call and find out exactly what his parts are. It is a rolex which I may end up selling so I would like to keep as many parts authentic as possible.

I just paid $150 for a stem, tube and a regulation.....$400 for my last overhaul last year. Sound too good to be true.

Mark overhauled a vintage Omega for me. It came out nice. He declined to work on a vintage IWC cal 88. Said it was beyond repair. My local watch guy fixed it with no problem. So I'm not much help I'm afraid!!

I have used him for two basic Rolex services. On the first one, the crown and tube needed replacement and it was extra. He is good people, reasonable turnaround time.

I talked to him about servicing my 1956 model 6565. He said he would, but didn't have any parts if something needed to be replaced. So it went off to Bob Ridley. With any vintage watch it would probably be a good idea to check on parts availability.

I called Bob and talked to his secretary. We set up a meeting for a Friday afternoon and he never called. Two weeks later his office called and apologized cause it had slipped his mind. I realize Bob does good work but for what i need i would rather not pay and i'm sure he is overwhelmed by our vintaage community
