can we have a new discussion about the unbelievable movement in the 318
I think this is a very important topic but the previous was closed because some people became rude and personal
Can we discuss it again without getting nasty ? What do you think about this 318. I mean that ugly movement in this watch. If you had one, would you sell it because you can't live with it. Or would you treasure it because it is rare. It was the only Panerai ever with that movement. If you don't have one, would you hunt for one because it could be sought after Just want to know your thoughts |

I certainly hope that the OP XXIX is rare. It doesn't belong in any Panerai.

I personally wouldn't want the 318... I have a 312 and would only buy panerai's with the in house movement with a display back from now on... I still love panerai but I really think panerai's ethics and hubris was on full display with that particular model.. They say one's character is revealed when no one is looking and for whatever reason, panerai exercised poor judgement.. I can forgive once, another mishap such as this, I don't think I can be as understanding.. Moving on to other brands ! AP!

well, to answer your questions, if i liked the watch enough to buy it before knowing it, i would be bummed but would still enjoy it for its other qualities, but, not because it's "rare". and, no, i wouldn't seek it out now just b/c it is "rare"....i buy watches that i like and want to wear and want to own, not to make money or tell a story.

Its sucks and they should learn from it not to do it again..........it is after all luxury. The 390 has an OPI that is at least signed and got some stripes, and I feel the a bonzer piece. They betrayed our trust no matter the price.
