New Explorer II's on Watchfinder.co.uk

They've got one of each for not much above list but They were bought from an AD in Malta. What's going on Malta receiving them before the U.K

I saw one in a UK AD window this morning. They are now available for RRP £5530.

They are in my local AD's window too. Didn't realise they are scarce - they've had them for some time I think..

IMO they're already struggling, on one forum one isn't moving at £5100....I am going to wait for EJ to get mine in, so I get 10% off, anything more is too much of a gamble IMO.

I tried an AD there, but they wouldn't post, and it was going to be a few bob to get over there, which ate into the difference, taking it nearer to a VAT paid UK watch from Ernest Jones.

Hmm, why are the customers on Malta less deserving than ones in the UK?

He didn't mention anything about being 'less deserving'.

For some reason, I don't think this one will do well at all.
A pre owned one sold for £5100 last week, and there is another one advertised for £5150... Soon it'd be buy one and get one free at your nearest Rolex ADs... :lol;

(the £5530 MSRP was taking the p!ss IMO )

Wow! I am surprised that the Americas MSRP is favorable compared to our European counterparts where the price is over $8k usd after exchange rate conversion... Kind of makes me feel like I got a deal! Anyway I am certain that my 216570 would cost close to $7k on the secondary market when the excitement slows down and folks start to flip. In my book this one is a keeper... Who knows I may add the white dial later on down the line...

Tonight I went to see the black dial I ordered after the Basel show and I walked away without it.
I need to see it in daylight as the harsh shop lighting does it no favours.

Mate of mine got his back in August and loves it.

I don't care for it much. Not the best looking model IMHO.

Looked in EJ in Southend today. Explorer IIs, both black and white faces, are in the window for £4550. But looking at the picture in this thread (above), I wonder if they could be an older model. That picture also seems to have them at that price, and says "Here she was next to her predecessor". Have they gone from 40 to 42 or something?

Those are the older 40mm, there is a new 42mm.

I phoned EJ, and the guy said he'd call me back, but hasn't...Why should he bother just to try and secure a £5500 sale
