used rolexs

i was just curious about how prices are set for the used rolex market? is there a price list? or do people go by supply and demand? i tried to google it but the only thing that comes up are used vendors. Im in the market for another rolex not sure what kind yet. I have been looking on the for sale threads and most prices are within range of similar items. Just wondering for when the time comes to pick up another rolex i know where the prices should be.
