I have a 14' Perception, and 17' Necky. Both sea kayaks. Neither are very high-end but they do the job.
The Necky is pretty sleek, with two cargo holds, which I use for long camping trips (a few days to a week). The Perception is a little more stable but just has a rear hold, and is good for choppy day trips on lake Ontario. My wife sometimes uses it too. Haven't been out too many times since the kids were born, but in a few years I'll take them camping on the islands in northern Georgian Bay. |
