Aluminium Bezel Insert Can Peel Off....
Does anyone here know if the aluminium bezel insert can also peel off it's anodized color? I know the color can fade over time especially if the watch is often subjected to direct sunlight, but can the color layer be peeled off?

Sure!
That is because it does not peel off

It is anodized which is a chemical process. Once a reaction takes place, there are no "layers" like an old painted house.
Learn more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anodising Notice the carabiners on the right -- that's basically a pepsi bezel GMT.

The bezel coloring isn't something that's "attached" to the metal, therefore it can't be peeled off. I don't know how else to explain it.

Yeah it's a good enlightenment.
And I'm sure as another perfectionist in this forum, you are wondering about the same question as I am, aren't you?!

Yes, I only got two hours sleep since I was awake almost the whole night thinking about that bezel. That is also why I could only come up with this "because that is how it is" reply

I'm somewhat useful every once in a while (or so my wife says).
