SCAM - [email protected]
Hello all. There is a guy trying to run a scam here on TRF. I had a listing for a bracelet that I wanted for my Daytona and was contacted by Adrian Gaddis ([email protected]). He tried to sell me a Daytona.
There is one problem. The photographs he used were from Eric Ku's website 10pastten.com. I knew the photos were from Eric because of the lovely (sorry Eric, it looks like a place mat) background he uses to photograph his watches. I contacted Eric and he confirmed that he didn't know that guy, has never sold to him, and it is a scam. If an admin wants me to email them the original email, pm me and I would be glad to do that. |

First, it's a good thing you were able to recognize the scam before it took place!!
Second, if you were contacted via Email from someone outside this forum, then there isn't much that administration can do. Other than post the warning as you've already done..... Now, this is the reason why I've said many times before, do not post your Email address or phone numbers in the body of your FS/WTB add!!! At least for the initial contact, you should use the PM system until you are confident with whom you're dealing with... Thanks for warning the community!
