Civet Poo Coffee, anyone ?
Thats right, coffee collected from civet poo. Apparantely the civets in sumatra eat only the finest coffee cherries then poo out the beans which they can't digest. These are then collected, washed and roasted. The coffee is meant to be the best in the world and sells for £70GBP a cup in London. Anyway, my local tea & coffee shop got some in so I though that I'd give it a try. I'll let you know what it's like.

Sound really interesting... but because I'm not prepared to shell out 70 quid for a cup of fermented civet sh*t I've started force-feeding the cat with some left-over Nescafé....I'll keep you posted...

I had some years ago... Its pretty good!
Apparently Stephen Fry gave some to Prince Charles for his birthday since he couldn't think what to get for a prince!?!

Warning to all cheapskates like me, attemping to make your own civit poo coffee is not worth the grief, I'm injured, the cat has disappeared, my wife is not talking to me and the kids won't stop crying...

I make my own. I swallow unprocessed coffee beans whole then sit back (pun intended) relax and harvest the result of my hard work.

Actually it is very good. I know I'm meant to say it but honestly it was great. Mind you, it won't become my regular brew, far too pricey.

I buy it in green bean form and roast it myself. One pound of beans cost about $100 or 60 quid. I average about 40 cups of coffee per pound so that's about $2.50 a cup. A much better way to go.

think i'll stick to my local coffee house, no poo but i usually get a shot of almond liqueur or port thrown in to start the day
