Ex-restaurant manager, bartender, waiter and wine salesman... however I have been out of the industry for 15 years. It's still a passion of mine however, and I'm certainly still a consumer!

I drank like a fish for many years and tended bar for a brief period, but those days are behind me.

I feel completely liberated since I gave up the booze, but I don't hold it against those who drink responsibly.

I really don't have any desire to drink anymore, but I do get nostalgic when I get a whiff of a good beer or when I think about the taste of a good scotch whisky.

Someone gave me a special boxed bottle of Patron Silver for Christmas, does that mean I was a good girl this year?????

I am more into Maker's Mark, the Official Corvette Museum Cruise site, because they hand dip the bottles with the wax. I got to do that once, and I love Maker's Mark.

They are always nice to us when we come for a tour!!!!

Mostly red wine here. Had some B&B Brandy for the first time tonight and it was very tasty.

I like those Maker's Mark bottles with the red dripping wax... my sister gave us a bottle last year. Kaya, I bet that was fun to dip your own. Did you get to take it home as a souvenir?

Yes, you can buy a smaller bottle and they put you in a rubber apron and let you dip and date your bottle.

It is one of the few distilleries that you can go and put your fingers in he big vats and then it gets processed and the bottles filled by machine, but the ladies stand on the line to hand dip each bottle in the wax.

Way cool and well worth the visit!!!

Worked very briefly for a large wine/spirits distributor. I've since become much more of a micro/craft beer buff and am an avid home brewer.

I've been in the alcohol business since I graduated college 8 years ago. It can be a lot of fun.
