Grateful Dead fans

I was lucky enough to go to the "Furthur" concert last night (Bob Weir & Phil Lesh from Grateful Dead).....they did a 3 night stand @ the Bill Graham Civic Ctr. in San Francisco.
Last time I welcomed a new year w/ the Dead was 1971-72 @ The Winterland.
This was a good show....we didn't have to drive into the city, BART ran 'till 3am!
I woke up this morning, I remember most of the night........the purple haze I took on BART has mostly worn off
The music was great....3 sets, breaks in between, long tune ups, typical Dead, show went from 7:30ish pm to 1:30ish am....excellent sound system.
Set 1= golden rd., cosmic charley, althea, next time you see me, hight time, shakedown st., viola lee blues.
Set 2= morning dew, dark star, mason's children, more dark star jam, mountain song, I know you rider, St. Stephen, fire on the mtn.
Set 3= @ midnight a big dragon comes down w/ smoke(2012 yr. of the dragon), back in the day a big mushroom would come down w/ Bill Graham on it to welcome the new yr. the Dead played his favorite tune, "sugar magnolia" @ midnight & Furthur played it, jammed well. Then= playin, uncle john's band, colors of the rain, born cross eyed, wheel, ended w/ a big jam playin & terrapin suite.
a Jerry Christmas & a happy new Weir to you all.
Peace, love & happiness, compadres.

Wow- what a show! Last time I saw the Dead was a good 25 years ago! Still listen to them on the Dead station on Sirius. They never grow old on me. Sounds like a blast Dr. B- wish I was there...
