Rolex AD - maximum discount

What is the maximum discount you have received from an authorized dealer? In the Virgin Islands they have a slightly a lower retail and discount ranges from 10%-15% but is fixed. I have been offered locally from 0-16% off depending on the model (newest models have no discount and all 18k is the most).

I know that the discounts are regulated by Rolex however if a dealer wants to get creative he can sell with a $500+ store gift card w/ purchase.

20% off my DDII a few months ago. It's the only purchase I've ever made from my local AD.

An AD can give whatever discount he wants to and they vary from AD to AD. Rolex would like to control all discounting and ultimately can by their restrictive controls/demands they place over AD's. This topic has been raised many times- do a search and you will see many threads.

Yeah I heard that the retail is restricted, over a certain amount they risk losing their license . Canvasback, great price from AD new. Was it the smaller datejust or 36mm version?

Agreed on all points...and literally 100's of threads on the same topic!!
So many factors are at play with this, and the best thing to do is just try your bargaining skills in reality and not ask a bunch of members their luck, or lack of it.......

As for Bill, are we looking for the face palm, or the 'sigh'????

You're holding out for 28% from an AD? Good luck, and let us know if you get there!

I've gotten 15% & 16% off tt subs. Using debit or cash should get you a higher number figuring they pay an additional 2-3% if you use the credit on your debid card.

Yeah I know that will never happen. The most I have been offered is 25% off from the wholesalers Downtown and 16% off from AD.

I was told that Rolex AD have to order many many non sport model from Swiss Rolex in order to get one sport model. That is why we cant get high discount on most sport model nowadays. And i was also told that the cost price for non sport model (price range below 20k one) is about 7k-8k only for each of their costing? So i think the margin of profit for AD is quite high if compare to the sport model which they sold... The maximun discount that i got for couple of years ago is 28% for the Air King model.

Discounts depend on the AD and whether you are buying SS, TT or 18K gold!!!

I'd guess AD's would be willing to discount more depending on the number of price rises that particular watch has sat through!

So naturally blinged up gold/platinum models come to mind

If we are playing what if... I think the maximum would be 100% if the AD felt like Santa.

Sorry. Working today...a bit slow.

There.

Well, at least the OP did not ask what the "Average" discount was...
