FS: Rolex 6536-1 James Bond Submariner!
What I have for sale is a beautiful Rolex Submariner model
6536-1 that is dated stamped on the case back from 1955. this is a very early 6536-1. serial number 112xxx The serial number and model number are visible in-between the lugs. The watch case has been polished. Lugs are still nice and strong. The case has no corrosion or pitting what so ever. Movement: Rolex Oyster Perpetual 25 Jewels 1030 movement very clean and all original with butterfly rotor intact. Water resistant to 100m/330ft Bezel: Original Rolex brass alloy bezel with very strong walls. Insert: This insert is an amazing fat font insert that has faded over the years. This insert is called a “ghost” insert with Tritium pearl intact. Insert is still in good condition and is held in via a pressure fit. Strap: This Rolex will come on an army green NATO strap with PVD hardware. Crystal: Rolex tropic 16 crystal installed, crystal is in excellent condition. Dial: The Dial is a beautiful rolex original service dial from the mid 1960’s with tritium plots that have aged to a beautiful yellow color. The hands are rolex original tritium hands that have aged and are darker orangish yellow. The markers have raised much like cake would which is correct for an un-abused dial of that period. The tritium hands were stabilized to prevent further deterioration of the tritium Only In direct sunlight you can see a very faint halo around the center dial which occurred from age and light exposure. This rolex does not have the original box or papers. However i will be shipping this watch in a rolex service box. James bond wore a no crown gaurd submariner in the bond films, this has no crown gaurds which is why it is refered to as a james bond submariner. This watch is guaranteed to be 100% Rolex authentic and as described. The pictures are recent and were taking for this listing. If the item is not as described I offer a 24 hour refund less shipping charges. I have been a member with TRF for some time. I am located in the USA. I am ok with face to face dealings as well if you're located in the Michigan area. I have owned this watch for some time now and I’m selling it so I can make room for a new watch in my collection. What you see pictured is exactly what you will get. I do not know when the watch was last serviced, but the movement is clean and this watch keeps beautiful time. This rolex actually keeps better time then my newer rolex watch! please message me if you have any questions. My asking price is $8500.00 shipped and insured anywhere in the USA. i accept paypal. I ship to confirmed paypal address only. If you wish to do a wire transfer, That will save you $300 dollars as paypal fees are that much. Last edited by mailman; 26 February 2012 at 09:42 PM..
