New GMT - will they switch from green to red?

Just curious what you guys think with the new GMT II. Will Rolex go back to the red 24 hour hand in a year or two? There seems to be a lot of green to celebrate the anniversary. I would love to see Rolex do red lettering for "GMT Master II" and go with a red 24 hour hand.

Don't get me wrong about the green, though. I liked it enough to order one. I have just stared at my red 24 hour hand for so many years that I am so used to seeing red.

Spooky just speaking with my son about this 20 mins ago, if the new TT GMT had a red 24 hand I'd buy one yesterday, really love the watch if only it didn't have that green hand.

I must say (IMO) it looks like great on the YG & SS

My prediction:
Bi-colored ceramic bezels will be introduced next year.
All pepsi and black-red ceramic models will have the red hand and writing while the black bezel models will remain as they are now (green hand and writing)..

In this case swapping bezels will be possible only for red writing models because black bezel will look good with the red. However the green will look bad with red and blue bezels.
In any case swapping will not be as easy as it was with the old model because ceramic bezels are sooooo expensive.

I posted some technical information about the new dial options some months ago.

It turns out that my source was a bit of a blaggard so take it all with a bit of sodium chloride.

That all sounds way to complicated. I'd better get a normal Pepsi bezel GMT right away.

I might have preferred the red also, but

it turns out that the green is subdued and very acceptable, both on the lettering and on the "green arrow" plus I liked the comic book as a kid.

Not that you asked but the RolexRolexRolex on the inner bezel is hardly noticeable and there is a neat little feature that they put the serial number of the watch on the inner bezel, so you don't have to take the band off to see what it is.

I agree, I really like the look of the red 24 hour hand in the stainless steel models.

This is intuition, but I don't think they would make a pepsi bezel to fit a green handed watch, so those may not make it to the world of swapping bezels. Rolex is very muych into color synchronicity, and Green, red and blue or black does not work too well. Too busy on an already busy watch. Better looking with black bezel in my view.

I really question if the plan is to have the ease of swapping on any of them as they did in the past. We are talking about a $500 bezel versus a $100 bezel. Not too practical. I really love my original GMT Master ll and am glad that I don't have to worry about this issue.

This is intuition only.
