Wrist Size

Hello,

Before I ask the question, I have 'searched' various threads which contain some responses which relate to my forthcoming question.

Specifically though, in regards to a SubC - what would people say is the smallest size wrist you could wear it on? Alternatively, what wrist size do you wear your SubC on??

I know it's down to personal preference, and the shape of people's wrists come in to it as well.

I wear a 41mm watch on my wrist that isn't quite 6.75 inches - it looks great!

6.5" wrist, I like "sports size" watch and have no problem wearing old Exp II or 44mm PAM. i thitnk the Sub C fits fine. but when it comes to comfort, nothing beats 14060M.

It is not the size of the wrist that matters most, but the shape. The flatter your wrist is, the larger watch you will be able to pull off. Your best bet is to go to the AD and try it on. Here is a pic of my DSSD (44mm) on a flat 6.75" wrist (for comparison sake)...

If your wrist is <4 inches then SubC might be too big for you........good luck.

I have a 8" wrist. Sorry no help from me. I will say my Sub C wears much better than my DSSD.

Great question Reu. My wrist is 6.75" and I thought the Sub-C didn't look as good on my wrist as the old no-date Sub. I ended up buying a 16600 Sea Dweller and 16610 Sub and am very happy with the size and look. That said, I'm old school and wasn't used to larger watches until recently. If I were to try the Sub-C on again now, I may like it more.

The Sub-C is a beautiful watch. It does have more shine to it than the older Rolexes (due to the ceramic bezel) and it's a substantial, squarish-shaped watch with strong wrist presence. If you like the look, do not hesitate. For me, it seemed a touch big. But I'm almost 57, bald, and not exactly a fashion leader!

Wrist size vs case diameter is way over emphasized, IMO. The shape of your wrist vs the case design can be much more important to how you like the fit. Also, when you look down at your wrist, you get a very different view than what other people see when they look at your wrist. You might be better off to look at your wrist in a mirror to get a feel for how your watch fits you.

I believe almost any wrist looks fine with most typical watch sizes (34mm-42mm). Dial color, case height, shine (vs brushed finish), and gold color can be much more of a contributor to how "large" a watch looks.

I'm 6'4" and have a 6.5" wrist. I thought the SubC would be too big for my wrist at first, but it's perf...
Height helps in pulling off a bigger watch.

I have a 6.5" wrist, and I took a few wrist shots in my Vegas thread that's going right now. I think that the sub fit very well on it, not too big.

Even the YMii fit well on it, to which I was surprised.

I have a 7 inch wrist and wear a 16610, I think it's great. I have worn a 116613 too and thought it looked awesome too. With a 6.5 inch wrist I think you'll be fine.

I think you should be fine and have nothing to worry about. Like others have said, it's about the shape really. As long as the lugs don't hang way out past the sides of your wrist, you should be fine.

I find my 6.5" wrist suits the sub c perfectly but as mentioned ship to an ad and try it on..

I just measured 6.6" my wrist size. I've tried the SubC and it looks great on me. I guess the perfect size for me is 40mm, 36mm I find too small. I also tried a 44mm Pam Luminor before and I didn't think it looked too big as I first thought, maybe because my wrist is flat not rounded.

The SubC is one of the most, if not THE most, comfortable watch that I've ever owned. I have a 6.5" wrist. I've bought and flipped it a couple of times but it still remains high on my list.

+1. I think the SubC is the best fitting/proportioned watch I've ever had on my wrist (so far).

The rule of thumb that I use and seems to work well....measure just the overall width of your wrist (not diameter). If the lug-to-lug length on the case of the watch is equal to/longer than your wrist width.....it's too big. YMMV.

IMHO, the Sub C isn't big enough to worry if your wrist is too small (unless your built like a 12 year old boy)if you like it, and it feels good, then that is all that matters!
