Vacation to Thailand !!

Fellas...I am planning a two week vacation to Thailand in May !!

Purpose of trip: Bunch of guys going to party hard, relax on the beach and have fun !!

I know the forum has many frequent travellers and want to get some tips in terms of where to stay, things to do and places to eat while in Bangkok and Phuket that will match the purpose of the trip.

I would never buy a Rolex in Thailand ... but would like to go window shopping if there are any good stores!!

Sure you could buy a Rolex in Thailand, but maybe not on Khao-San Road

Enjoy your stay, its a great country for vacation with nice people and great food.

X2. I would bet there are tons of great watch places there. Since Asia and the middle east are the fastest growing (and most "unique") markets I bet you can shop all day long.

uh oh... no ruffies!!!! partying with Mr. Chow eh? I was there for a week back when I was younger. I had a blast! Watched a full kick boxing match at an old and humid stadium, went temple hopping, rode the tuk-tuk (insane drivers). Just be safe and stay low, you dont want to be flashy in a foreign country. just my .02 cents..enjoy!

If you like seafood should try The Seafood Market & Restaurant, Sukhumvit Road. the sign on the wall says "if it swims, we have it".

The concept is you get a shopping cart and you choose the seafood, vegeatables, etc you like. You pay at the checkout counter and then you get asked how you want it cooked. Fried, steamed, boiled, etc. You can even pick up the bottle of wine you want. So you pick what you want and they take care of the messy bits.

It has a nice novelty factor.

Check out PMT The Hour Glass at the Emporium mall in downtown Bangkok. They had a nice stock the last time I was there. Remember it's tax free!

Enjoy the trip!

Could not agree more, Samui is great for a weekend away with your girlfriend but...

As someone who's called Thailand home for a very long time there is only ONE answer for a bunch of young guys going to the Land Of Smiles who want to take partying to a whole new level. It's called Pattaya

Abandon hope all who enter, just when you think you've seen it all you find out in places like this there are no limits

Thank you guys for all the tips... I will make a note of them.

Really excited about the trip... Yeah, want to make a Hang over-3 out of the trip!!

I will include Pattaya in the itinerary... looks very close to bangkok anyways.

I've never been to Pattaya, for just that reason.

But it's supposed to be wild.

Sounds like trouble for sure (in a good way of course ). Have a blast as it's the ideal getaway...and do watch out for Mr. Chow
