Quick question

What do you guys think of this bracelet, does it look normal? Any signs of stretches or lateral wear? If yes at how many percent? Btw this is off of a 'z' series 16710 GMT.

Yes it looks a bit stretched, at least compared to mine.

I disagree... 7.244%!

Seriously, though... Looks good, minimal if none at all.

Actually the stretch on my DSSD is about like that. My sub is much straighter.

let's get this thing to 5.001234% It does have the same 'play' as compared to my explorer bracelet which is brand new but because this bracelet looks so 'polished' as evident in the pictures I just can't shake off the notion that this bracelet is 'tired'. So seriously, are there any lateral play on this bracelet? Or is that normal?

hah? I don't think so buddy. DSSD has got solid middle links and those are very stiff laterally with very minimal lateral play at all. If you're talking about the 16600 SD, then yes, they are hollow middle links and there will be lateral play like the pictures I posted above.

...out of curiosity did you polish the bracelet or was it done professionally?

Polish it? No I didn't polish it. This is out of a used z series 16710 I got for a good price. I guess it's just from the previous owner wearing it to a shine.

My bad...just realised you wrote 'polished' and not polished.
Just trying to develop an eye for polished vs non polished items.

OP, I would say you are at 95% or better

A bracelet from a Z serial GMT should be hardly stretched at all--

Sir when you say 'looks fine to me'. Do you mean that it is within 'brand new' specs? I know my bracelet is 'polished' to a shine but what really bugs me is that I can't tell for christ sake if there are any lateral play at all! and to make matters worst I am not a watch tech is there a Rolex bracelet measuring ruler I can get off from the internet?

I have sent the watch in today to RSC for a complete overhaul(as written on the RSC receipt of notice) and hopefully with a newly brushed bracelet, the notion of a worn n tired looking bracelet with 'lateral play' would be gone.
