Rolex GMT Master Transitional 14k/SS 1980/81
Hello there, ....I am a newbie here, and I recently acquired a Rolex 16753, as stated in the title. It was serviced in 2008, has the 3075 movement, 6.7M serial number, Jubillee bracelet 62523 H-14 with G2 marking; and 450 on the end pieces, with 50 on the first link after the end piece. Its a beautiful watch, in excellent condition. I have the Rolex service box from 2008, but no papers at all. The watch is registered with Rolex Canada. I was thinking about getting a certificate of authenticity. Do you think it is worth it? I do not know the cost, but it is probably not cheap.
If anyone has some advice, or knows more about this type of Rolex, let me know. Thanks, Beam |

Welcome! What a great watch. If you didn't already know, you could buy an additional Oyster bracelet as well as different bezel inserts to change the look of it. The Rolex GMT is an icon in the watch world

Great watch- I wouldn't worry about getting papers for authenticity.

Nice looking watch.. The TT GMT is one of my favorites and I will be wearing one when I sail off to Hawaii next week..
As to a "Certificate of Authenticity", not sure where you would get something like that, but I say don't bother.. they are absolutely worthless. If I were buying a watch, a "Certificate of Authenticity" wouldn't mean a thing to me.. There is no way to tell if the watch is still exactly like it was when such a piece of paper was ginned up.... Enjoy that great timepiece...
