If watches did not exist....

Okay let's say there was not such a thing as wristwatches. Where would that money go?

Sheep? Beer? Cars? Guns? What would it be?

To start: My second love is 1927-S quarters. I have bought a few Rolexes worth of those. And I will continue to do so!

You?

I used to dump all of my extra money into a couple of Ford Mustangs that I used to own to make 'em faster. I got rid of them because I was getting out of control with how much I was spending on them.

Now I have a JEEP Wrangler that needs no modifications

And a CBR600RR that is faster than any Mustang I've ever owned

So I would say that I would probably make my gun collection a lot bigger

Sorry for the long reply

I did the same thing with my 2000 Camaro Z28. 8 point custom rollbar, heads/cam, suspension, stage 4 racing trans (that I broke TWICE, the last time when the main bearing failed in the 4600rpm/2.5STR torque converter and the impeller disintegrated...), slicks and skinnies... 11.80 in the quarter mile as a daily driver.

Racing 3-4 times a week, driving round trip from Chicago to Bowling Green, Kentucky or Donaldsonville, Lousiana to race and no trailer. First time I broke the trans, I lost a couple of shift solenoids, so drove home in 3rd gear for over 900 miles. The 4in exhaust with 2 chamber muffler was quite loud...

Before the car was home theater... in both cases Watches would be the cheaper hobby.

Cars, knives, guns, books, art. Already spend a lot of money on those, but if no watches would spend even more money on those areas.

Once upon a time, it would have been guitars. I love flamenco guitars.

Then I got my dream guitar, built for me by Aaron Green, so now I would just spend the money on vacations.

Good stuff. I had not noticed it was the same boat in both those pictures. Any hobby that lasts 25 yrs + is a great hobby for sure. I can never seem to stick to anything for long periods. I must be ADD :)))

Oh it applies to women also

Motorcycles, women, more holidays, more toys, tv's, liquor.
Doing this already, would just have more to go around.

.....well for the cost of an average jet, I could buy about 3400 Rolex watches(average cost $4500 each). Thats alot of watches.
So I guess if I couldn't have that many watches...I would buy a jet!
