HELP! To buy or not to buy
I stumbled across an AD who has a new SS GMT Master that is fresh as a daisy. It has never even seen the inside of the case and is still inside the original shipping materials. More importantly the final price is 7k, they will pay to ship it wherever I want, and the AD includes an additional 2yrs on top ofthe Rolex warr. If I wasnt low on cash at the moment it would be a no brainer, but at the moment Im not so sure........opinions? To buy or not to buy

I don't know what to say...
Do you need the watch? Do you want the watch? Can't you buy it later? How will you pay for it? If you want it -now- and can buy, so why not? If not, relax, when you get the money, I'm sure that you will find again the same SS GMT for sale. |

I would have to say if you don't have the money, then you don't have the money. It doesn't matter what kind of deal someone is cutting you, if you really can't afford it. I would say save your money until you can comfortably afford to do the right thing & make the purchase then.

You either have the money or you don't.
If it's just a matter of eating out less often for a while, it's no big deal, but if you'll be coming up short on the mortgage, car payments, and family obligations, then the answer is a definite no.

Never buy a watch you can't 'easily' afford. Wait until that isn't part of the consideration set.

If you can afford it and want it bad enough, buy it, otherwise don't. It is a luxery item for most people you know...

You are the only one who knows your finances. If you think you can swing it until your cash flow goes up, do it. If it means you are going to be hitting the welfare office on Monday, skip it. The SS GMT is not in short supply.

Like other have said if it means not going out as much that's ok but if it means missing a car payment then no. Only you know if you can afford it or not.
