AP vs PP; Need Input
I'm a newbie to AP & PP. Have been following discussions in this forum. Very informative, guys. Planning to buy either AP Volcano or PP Aquanaut. What do you guys think? Which one should I get? Also, does anyone know MSRP for both in Euro and discount in European AD?? Thanks.

Either would make an excellent choice, however both of them are so very different.
Have you tried these on and compared them by any chance?

I really think this would help greatly.
This will help you get a better idea. I would also start doing some research, this would also help. Start looking online and check out some reviews. Although most of these reviews are a bit opinionated it will give you a better idea as to what you are actually looking at. For me at least this is part of the fun, and besides with something as expensive as these are it is worth the effort at least to me. Remember if you ask for a comparison between a PP and a AP in the PP forum your more than likely to hear PP. Try it in a AP forum you'll hear AP for the most part. Nothing wrong with this, it's just that these people have already made up their minds. Problem is this is going to be your watch. Personally I think both are great, it's just they are both way different. Possibly you'll own both in the future, but for different reasons.

Whoa...VERY different watches (albeit both amazing in their own right).
Volcano--huge presence on the wrist, pop factor, eye catching. Aquanaut--small(er), very 'under the radar', elegant, simple and amazing. Really depends on what YOUR wishes are...tell us? |

Both are great watches but you really need to figure out what you're looking for.

A few months ago I would have gone for the AP as it has such amazing presence, although recently the Aquanaut is on my mind constantly (no thanks to Dan!). I think the Aquanaut is one of the very few watches that transcends sports and/or dress and is equally stunning in either situation. Although I don't think you could go wrong with either.

Really depends on your wrist size, and whether it's a regular length strap or xl... Mine use to do that, loosened it up one notch and is now perfect.... Which did you order? I suggest trying it out

First off if you wear any strap too tight it won't be comfortable. My straps on my AP's fit fine and are super comfy with no problem whatsoever. To the OP--get whichever one you like--they are different and surely one will sing to you.

I'm leaning toward the Volcano at the beginning. But, considering what "branigan" was saying regarding the buckle, it's back to 50:50 now

I have owned many AP's over the years and again never an issue with any strap. If you choose to wear any strap too tight it will be irritating. So go try some on and get a true feel for what you like.

I have same issue with u I end up ordering the extra short rubber straps and the buckle sits at the center due to I use forth hole and the horn back is really too stiff and not comfort to wear. and the rubber straps is soft enough and make it a lot more snug and I happy with it now. Hope it help.
