Cool Gift from my AD

While visiting my favorite AD today with my girlfriend he asked we displayed our watches then reached into the drawer and gave us these cool watch stands. We thought that was very nice of him.

Well... I suppose after having spent the thousands you did on those watches a couple of pieces of plastic is a small loss to him.

Glad you got something though!

Believe me, I realize the value differential. But it's nice to just walk in and say hi months later and receive a token now and then. Much like getting a bottle of champagne after buying your house. Its the gesture that makes the difference. We have become friends and he is always very generous.

Well after a lot of recent threads on what crap service AD's are providing it's refreshing to see someone being looked after - A fair point you've made.

Thx. I never realized this either but they are some kind of cement or plaster with brass fittings. Pretty heavy.

Lucky you.

I asked my AD in Adelaide if I could 'borrow' a couple of Rolex watch stands just to take some pix.

I was told that Rolex would not allow them to do this

I have only bought 7 watches from them so I guess I couldn't be trusted to bring them back.

Cool, it's always kind of nice to get something like that every once in awhile.
