I need some advice with my next Rolex purchase. I'm having the hardest time deciding if I should purchase the GMT 16710 Pepsi with lugholes or without.

What are advantages of both? Just an FYI, I am looking at K and Z serials respectively.

I'm also looking at a GMT Master with lug holes. I really like the lug hole version as it looks more like a vintage case! Good luck!

Some feel bracelets / straps are easier to change with Lug Holes. Some also feel Lug Holes are more "secure."

Some like the look of holes on a sports watch.

I think it's more a matter of preference.

What do you think???

I have a 16710 with LH's and a Exp II without LH's.

If I changed the bracelets & straps out on a regular basis the lug holed case would make this a little easier.

It's going to boil down to your personal preference. Good luck.

Lug holes are good! Go for them! You don't see lug holes on current Rolex's anymore!

@Speed, I really do like both which makes my decision that much harder

I didn't think about the ease of changing out bracelets/straps though. Definitely something to consider as I do like Nylon straps.

I've had a Z with no holes & a K with holes. I'm not one to change the bracelet, ever, so I'll take the newer watch please. I've heard the holes makes it more of a tool watch but frankly its hard to even notice.

I'm torn on this question. I prefer the look of no lug holes, but I do love the simplicity of strap changes with lug holes.

Lug holes will be found on an older GMT. I guess you'll have to decide how old of watch you want. Personally, I prefer the older, lug hole watches.

Attention Montres Rolex....please bring back lug holes!
The new Tudor watches now come w/ extra straps...very cool....but no lug holes & IMHO a PITA to take bracelet off.
Please bring back the holes!

As Dan mentioned earlier, I too like the lug holes and SEL bracelet..

However, in this case, the condition of the watch should be the deciding factor... Get the very best condition for the price..

X2. Would depend on the individual watch. Personally it wouldn't sway me one way or the other. I'd buy the newest/nicest watch I could afford so it would probably not have holes.

If you plan to keep it on the oyster bracelet then I vote no. If you plan to swap bracelets to a jubilee and/or natos then find one with lug holes.
