New serial number that starts with an X?
Hi guys, I just visited my AD and amongst all the G-series and random numbers, there was an X-serial watch.
Sounds new to me, has anyone heard about new serial numbers? |

Last year I bought a new 116610 Sub C with the serial number Z24106P4.
It leads me to believe that the current 8 character alpha/numeric sequence is completely random. |

Its just a serial nothing more now instead of a letter and six numbers which there are millions around now. They have just added a extra digit making a total of eight, and in a few years time there will be millions of those too..

That chart is based on serial numbers that start with a letter and are followed by six digits (all numbers). Those are the old serial # sequencing. The OP mentioned that the watch in question had a serial # that started with X and was followed by seven digits (numbers or letters) serial # totalling eight digits. This watch is one of he new serial number sequencing which have a total of eight digits (numbers or letters) jumbled together with no specific pattern that we are aware of. New serial sequencing can start with either a number or letter, but will contain a total of eight numbers and or digits.
