Must..........resist........the Deep Sea....
It's taking all I got to resist "the beast" since trying one on and having it fitted to my wrist at a recent GTG.
Anyone got any recent pics of this giant hunk of steel?? Also, feel free to talk me out of it............. |

I just acquired one, you should too. Haha, I tried to resist and I stumbled on a good deal so I took the plunge. I tried one on last year and I thought it was big but it was at an AD and was for about 2 minutes. I hope to get mine next week and I am sort of hoping it is a worthy and realistic replacement for my SubC so that I can use those finds towards a white dialed EXPLORERII 42mm. I'd like to see pics to to hold me over until next week.

Only Daytona and Deepsea are Rolex watches that I owned, sold and now I'm thinking about buying it again.

My opinion of the Deep Sea completely changed after seeing it fitted. I definitely think you should get it.

Hi Dan,
to talk you out: It is a chunky, ugly, completely out of proportion watch, extremely heavy and uncomfy to wear! I wouldn't even take one for free..... Maybe this helps to cure you? Tom |

Some really nice features on that watch...matte dial, blue lume, large markers and hands, domed crystal, full minute marks on bezel etc..
But then there are a few I will never get around. Too thick, thin bracelet and most of all a useless ring (unless you dive to 3900m) with plenty of useless text on it...these things would drive me mad and I would end up selling it... |
