Advice needed: 14060M purchase opportunity
I have been offered a BNIB 14060M from an AD here in Singapore. It's their last in stock and unlikely to be replaced; he is prepared to hold it for me for 24hrs. They are asking the equivalent to around US$7.5k, however they may offer me a discount (I will pay in cash). I am tempted, as it would complement my 116610LN nicely
Is this a good deal? Thanks in advance, Rich |

It probably is a good deal, in the sense that I recently tried to look around for a BNIB 14060M at ADs where I am, but couldn't find one.
If it's really the watch you want, and you want BNIB from an AD, then I would advise you to try to haggle a bit and buy it. |

Wow... seems high.
I say that only because a BNIB 14060M sold last week that was listed in the 'for sale' section of this forum for $5700 USD. Just say'n... |

About 1k too high for NIB from AD. Not sure about prices in Singapore, but for US it is quite steep even after discount.

Seems high to me as I just got a new Random serial 14060 from an AD for $5600 out the door... Mind you this was in Canada, not Singapore.

7500USD is the MSRP for the new ceramic 114060.. I would say that it was sky high for a 14060M...
Sounds like they're selling it for the new list price and not the original price..

I agree. Price seems way too high. You'd have to really want it to pay that much.

That is high! Paid 5900USD for a brand new random serial here in Bangkok last week, though I should say that he was the only AD left with any 14060Ms, he has now has three left...and i could have had 7% tax back on top of the discount given had i been a tourist which i am not. I have to say i am surprised because i though that some of the best deals were supposed to be had in Sing.

Thanks guys. I challenged them on the price and they came down to nearer $6.4k - I think they had been quoting the wrong model... Based on your feedback I think I will leave it and keep the cash for the Black Bay which is landing here in the next couple of weeks
Thanks again for the insights |

I didn't realize a BNIB 14060M wasn't as scarce as I was lead to believe.
Glad you didn't take my advice then! Good luck with the Black Bay. |

That does seem VERY high. Although supply and demand will dictate. 2 months ago I bought my 14060M for $5200cdn taxes in. Now after the recent price increase they have a random serial that would be $5450cdn taxes in.

Whatever the asking price, a new 14060m will lose value after you leave the AD.
Whenever someone asks "is it a good deal?", and uses "AD" in the same breath - it seems like the goal is at a cross-purpose to the context. IMHO, everyone should have the AD experience once in their lifetime. But after that - especially if they are building a collection - a well kept pre-owned Rolex at a fair price is the "best deal".

Does not sound like a good deal to me.
It isn't BNIB, but there's one available from a very respected seller for under 4900 shipped next day, right here on the sale forum. |

That sounds excessively high for a 14060M, if we are talking US dollars. These can be had
for $5,000 in the USA from local trusted sellers. |

Well Tudor isn t a Rolex ,however everything over 6k is too much.
On the other hand you won t find this particular model BNIB under 7k within 6months.

That price seem very high, the ADs here in California were offering it (when Available) for $6,300 (US Dollars not including sales tax).

$7,500 is the price of the 114060.
The price of the 14060M was not raised as it is no longer in production, so the the last list price for it was $6,300, which is what I paid last November. I say that it's pure exploitation to ask that much for the watch, especially at an AD! I prefer the old style cases to the new style and I cherish my my 14060M, but I don't cotton much to price gougers. When I bought my last lens, I found it locally and the dealer acted like she was giving me a good deal by charging $100 over list. I usually prefer to buy my camera gear locally even if I might pay more, but I won't be exploited. I ordered it from Amazon at list and got it two days later, but that's just me.
