Have you seen Your Rolex in an advertisement?????

SIZE="4"]This thread is prompted by my wife, she has taken Rolex spotting to a whole new level. She came home all excited because she had found one of her watches in a Rolex print advertisement run by a local jeweler. She then showed me one of my watches in another similar advertisement. I believe she has been bitten by the bug!! Later in the day I caught her trying to photograph her watch and the advertisement together!! See the results for youself below. Have You ever seen Your Rolex in an Ad ??? Any related stories?? [/SIZE]

Was in vegas over the weekend. Not exactly my watch but i saw a huge billboard of a two tone daytona.

One of the most questions i got all weekend was, is that white gold? or SS? I just smiled.

by the way the Tourneau @ ceasers forum shop has got to be one of the largest watch stores ever. I had to literally drag my wife away from a Pearlmaster with a single diamond. When i asked if they offer any discount they said zero.

The Rolex shop @ the wynn is also very nice.

What a beautiful ad, Mike!

I wish I had an ad for the SS Daytona, but I have yet to see one. I guess Rolex won't make an ad for a watch that is not readily attainable.

@ Al: As I have said before, that pic of you wearing your TT Sub is like straight out of a Rolex ad!

Great pictures and even better adds.
I have never seen my watch or any other Rolex in an add, perhaps I should reconsider my subscription on Haggis Spotters Monthly. Hey Ho.

Love this ad. Also, have to agree with Bo. Every time I see that picture of Al on the water it makes me want to refinance my house and pick up a TT Black Sub and hitch a ride on Al's boat.

Classic. The US Naval Academy class ring is a nice touch. From what I remember, mids and alums can get a pretty decent deal on a Rolex at the Midshipman's Store.

Interesting information. The uniform and class ring is what really makes that ad jump for me. I'm an officer in the Army Reserve, but have always wished my university had a Naval ROTC for that is the way I would have gone all the way. I'm fascinated by all things Navy.

As a Reservist you could probably transfer with a little effort, up to O-2. O-3 or above would be a stretch.

The best Blue Sub ad is the one I've seen on CNN. The opening scene depicts these guys at the helm of a yatch and then the camera zooms on to a beautiful TT Blue Sub as it comes on to the screen.

I'm O-2 now coming up on O-3. I've been trying but it's tough getting released from the Army right now. I was released into the inactive reserve so I could switch services and then the Army activated me from there before I could sign on the dotted line. Oh well.

It certainly is, my friend. In the same ad, they also show the full gold YM with white dial; but the final scene when the Blue Sub comes up on the screen with a very stunning close-up of that gorgeous blue dial.....well, that's the mouth-watering clincher!

I was Army active and reserves and went IRR after my 20, now I find myself in Tajikistan. IRR is the fast-track to the 'stans, the good news is that it pays enough so far for two Rolexes an a PAM.

Hmmm this month marks 27 years of service. Maybe I need a Rolex to celebrate. :-)

I was released from IRR in January 2002. The funny part is that they sent me an honorable discharge, then sent me another one dated April 2004. I hope they didn't think I was available to them until 2004!

I agree, stay out of the IRR no matter what you do! They use it like a draft.
