Need our help with my new Rolex

Dear all,
Just joined the Rolex Forum, and I am so glad to be here….
I am planning to have my first Rolex, however, I have Omega Planet Ocean, so I believe I don’t need another diver watch with black bazel (i.e. Submariner), yet I like the new GMT , so would highly appreciate your kind contribution and comment what Rolex to get

thanks guys, yaa i do love the new GMT with those fat lugs, but i wish if i had it before the omega PO, i mean both have black dial, ceramic bezel, so for change what do you think about the Exp II with white dial or the new DJ II 41 MM ??

True but they are very different watches to look at.
Dj II also good ( GMT is better) Exp II is also good ( GMT is better)
End of teh day have a look around try soem on and then go with the one that sings to you

GMT is the way to go for a first Rolex. At least that's what I did.

Great post and nice collection. I'd love to see a photo of all your watches together to get an idea of the condition, any band differences, etc. of your specific watches. And maybe the wear marks of your particular watches would show us how hard/easy you are on your watches and, consequently, what watch the forum would recommend to you.

Welcome to TRF! I does depend on what you prefer indeed but with all the choices you gave us when it comes to Rolex I think I would go with a GMT (probably a two-tone or all gold but that's just me). I prefer it to the Exp-II and although I like the Datejust I find 41 mm a tad too big for my taste.

To me, the Planet Ocean and the GMT are significantly different enough to warrant purchasing the GMT if variety in your collection is your main criterion.

Try on a GMTIIC and an Explorer II 42mm Polar face to see what you think and which you prefer. Personally I think the ExpII!

However, today I went to Rolex store with my Omega PO, I tried the GMT ii, Exp ii 42mm, and DJ ii 41 mm, side by side with the PO

so after thorough comparison I decided the following:
The Oscar goes to. GMT Master ii SS
And with regards to the PO I will get a rubber strap for it

Any way, as I can’t get the GMT now and I have to wait for few months , I had to get a “small dose”, to get that watch fever down! so I added the following wonderful peace to my collection:
Hamilton Khaki – Pilot 46 MM

The Omega you have is all matt, and I think a GMT would make you have a nice collection. The bracelet center has a glossy finish. I recommend the GMT II Ceramic. It has more complication than the Sub.
