Booklets in GMTIIc Box

Hello all. I just purchased an new SS GMTIIc as a Xmas for my Dad at the SF Tourneau while visiting the Bay Area this weekend. It is an M series. The only booklets that came with it were the warrnaty card, "Warranty" Booklet, "Factory Service" booklet and the new GMTII booklet. It did not have the "Your Rolex Oyster" booklet. Is this missing? I know it came with my Z-series SS Sub/Date and I see it with the boxes on Z series GMTIIc's offered on Ebay. The AD assured me that this is all that comes with it. They even brought out the box for a brand new M series TT GMTIIc to show me what came with it and it too did not have it. Can those that have an M series GMTIIc chime in? If it is missing how can I rectify this, not that it matters much I guess as it will not be resold but I jsut want to make sure the package is complete. Thanks.
BTW, I think the watch is beautiful. I think I may try to pick one up for myself if I can find one or just wait until they are more readily available. I've been on the list at BB's and Tourneus here in Los Angeles for a while now and no call yet. I just happened to be in the mall at SF and low and behold they had just received one 2days ago and no one had purchased it yet! As soon as I said I'll take it 2 other people had just walked in to see it. Apparantly, they were called by "their" salespeople about it. I guess it was first come, first...

Did you get a booklet specically for the NEW GMT IIc?

I have read posts here from members stating that the OLD GMT II booklet is still provided with the NEW GMT IIc.

Anyway, I would mean that the "Your Rolex Oyster" booklet should be part of the package.

Congrats on getting that lovely watch, btw.!

The printing of the new booklet was delayed. Result: everyone received the old booklet.

Yes, it is specifically for the new GMTIIc. Anybody with an M series GMT IIc that can tell me if they got this booklet as well? How do I go about getting a "Your Rolex Oyster" booklet? I even went to Tourneau the next day to make sure. That's when I was shown the booklets for he two-tone GMT IIc which also did not have this booklet. Should I call and speak to the manager?
Here are pics(Sorry for the quality) of the GMTIIc versus my Sub and of the booklets. They did throw in 2 extra Green/Gold Rolex cloths.

COOL thing that Rolex finally gives the RIGHT book with the new GMT IIc.

Anyway, your AD should be able to get the "Your Rolex Oyster" booklet for you.

Alternatively, you might get one from Tom "Kansaivet".

I have put a call in to the manager at the AD. He will call me back later today as he will look into whether the booklet is supposed to come with the watch as it is a new model
Will keep you posted, but coming from a customer service point of view he should have just sent me one regardless.

Spoke to Rolex themselves. They confirmed that the GMTIIc's shipped with the new GMTII booklet will not have the "Your Rolex Oyster" booklet. I guess those with the old GMT booklets lucked out as they got the booklet and will get the new one as well. Can anyone spare an extra booklet?

My Z series TT GMT II C came with the older GMT booklet, the factory service book, but not the Your Oyster book. As I've got two copies of it from other purchaes, I don't need it, but sometimes Rolex lacks consistency in these items. For instance, prior to the new credit card warrant card, Rolexes purchased outside the US came with a leather document "wallet", whereas US purchases came with the a green heavy paper version. Never understood why.

Try asking Tom "Kansaivet" here on TRF!

Or else you can find them on eBay.

Good luck!

Yes, I KNEW I have read somewhere that some owners of the GMT IIc had received the OLD GMT II booklet with the NEW GMT IIc.

Anyway, good thing that Rolex corrected that issue!

Rolex actually delivered the SUBMARINER anchors with the SEA-DWELLER watch for a long time before correcting it (as you would know, these anchors are no more delivered with diver's Rolex watches).

About the wallet:

To use a double negative: customers aint got no leather wallet coming with the new GMT IIc in Europe. At least there wasn't one in the box of the new GMT IIc that I saw at my AD 20 days ago when I collected my SS Cos.

Actually, I am the lucky one to have a Dad like him. I would give the world to him and my mom actually for what they have done for me. It is b/c of them that I am now in a position to be able to purchase my Dad his first Rolex. He is probably able to get one on his own now, but knowing the old guy he would
rather use the money towards his family than think of himself. Thanks for the advice guys, I have procured a booklet now.

Bo, wallet may not be the right description but I'm referring to the holder the old paper warranty was tucked into. For the pre-credit card watches in the US the holder was always paper in my experience, but outside the US it always seems to have been a leather holder.
