My new lady dj - trying a pix
I'm still working on my photo capabilities.... hope this works. It's my new lady datejust in rose gold and steel with a concentric dial. The dial is kind of hard to read - really reflective - but I think it will grow on me. I ordered this about 3 weeks ago from our local AD.

Another pix of lady DJ and Baby Violet
Looks like that worked, so here's another image. I'm interested in what the women here think. It's the classic small lady DJ size, but I'm into classic. Violet is almost 4 months old - she was my 44th birthday present. (It was a "surprise" party...!)

Hi Lisa!
Well this gal thinks your watch is lovely! I'm not into two-tone watches personally, BUT I really love the rose gold!!!! I think I could go for that! Very classic watch! And what a cutie pie Violet is! Enjoy your watch in good health always....and happy birthday! |

I love it!
Very nice choice Lisa! I love the "ever rose" gold as well! That dial is cool too, but I can imagine it is a little hard to read... It's a great combo though! Happy Birthday!!

Hey, ABS - I recall your photo a couple weeks ago of your 39 mm a woman's wrist - and someone said it looked like a baby's hand. Here's a real baby hand wearing a 26 mm - the effect is similar! Perhaps my next watch will be bigger, if I regret this one's diminuitive size.[/IMG]

Lovely watch and a cute baby. That's a great combination!
I see what you mean about teething. Violet looks like she's thinking, "Nummy!".

Congrats, great watch. Wear it in good health!
Violet is a very cute baby. Ever since my son was born, I looked at each baby differently now. I can actually relate!

Lisa Congrats on both! I had the same idea for my wife - new rolex in appreciation for the hell she went through delivering! Ours is 5 months old. Has Violet drooled on your beautiful new watch yet?

Thanks for all the nice comments, guys. Yes, Violet has drooled, fondled and gummed on the watch - thank goodness that's no match for it. I think it's even had a bit of poo on it! Rolexes are poo-resistant, aren't they?

Probably will! And congrats on having your first soon! Violet is our third girl. If you ever wonder what pure, true love is, you'll soon know. Parenthood is an amazing journey.

Lisa.......very cool & unique Rolex. I have never seen that dial before. Very Nice. How long did it take for that to come from Rolex? (I assume it was a special order).
Baby Violet is a cutie. First one? gha |

Good question. I haven't noticed Rolex making that claim in any of their literature. I'd ask my AD about it, but I'd prefer not to be escorted off the premises.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the concentric dial come out in 2006? I've seen it in the 26 mm, 31 and 34 mm sizes, I think (someone may need to correct me on that, too). Have seen it in blue, silver (REALLY hard to read that dial!) black (nice contrast there) and the pink like I have. My AD had silver and blue in stock, and it took about 3 weeks to get mine from New York. The very style I have is on the Rolex website with the other lady datejusts. That's where I fell for it.
